Our Washington D.C. trip was such a fun and unforgettable experience! In just a few days, we packed in so many exciting moments, historic sites, nighttime adventures, and even a medieval-style dinner. We got to explore some truly amazing places and made memories I’ll never forget.

On one of the first days, we went to the Gettysburg Visitor Center. It was really interesting to learn about the Civil War and all the history that happened there. The museum had cool displays and the gift shop had a lot of fun stuff. A few of us even bought snacks made out of bugs, just to say we tried it!

Later during the trip, we went to see the White House at night. It was awesome seeing it all lit up, and we took group pictures in front of the gate. Even though we couldn’t go inside, just being that close was
pretty cool.

Another day, we visited the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. The waterfalls were really pretty, and each part of the memorial told a different part of FDR’s story as president. It was one of the more peaceful and relaxing spots we went to.
One of the most fun nights of the trip was when we went to Medieval Times. It felt like we stepped into a castle! We watched knights battle on horses while we ate dinner with our hands. Everyone was cheering, and the show was super exciting. My voice was gone from yelling so much.

The trip was a great mix of history, fun, and memories with friends. I’m really glad I got to go— I learned a lot and had the best time with my classmates. I’m really glad I got to capture these memories and share them.
